Violet E. Eddings, age 84, formerly of the Boaz community, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, at 9 a.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Eddings was a member of the Houser Grove Church of Christ. She had worked at C.T.S. as well as Lourdes hospital and Western Baptist Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Robert G. Eddings and his wife, Diana of Boaz; two brothers, Jewell Houser of Boaz and Randall Houser of Paducah. Mrs. Eddings is also survived by her five grandchildren, Beth Ann Eddings, Amy Lynn Eddings, Lori Sue Eddings, Brian Waltmon and Emily Schneider; along with four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Eddings. Her parents were Johnny and Ruby Clark Houser.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Justin Hastie officiating. Burial will follow in Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
