HENDERSON — Vera Jo Sumner, 91, of Henderson, formerly of Benton, died Wednesday at Red Banks Nursing Home in Henderson.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Sumner of Henderson and Ronald Sumner of Crestview, Fla.; a sister, Valncia Billington of Fort Heron, Mich.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolla Sumner, and one sister. Her parents were Kelca Gordon and Nora Cook Gordon.

A prayer service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Collier Funeral Chapel in Benton with the Rev. Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairdealing Cemetery in Benton.
