MURRAY — Tony Montgomery, 75, of Murray died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Spring Creek Health Care.
Mr. Montgomery was a former member of St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah and a member of St. Leo Catholic Church in Murray, where he served as minister of communion, Life in the Spirit seminar and the prison ministry.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a retired insurance sales representative and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Henry Kares Montgomery; four daughters, Christine Niemeier and Carol Schroeder, both of St. Louis, Cynthia McLean of Longmont, Colo., and Laura Jones, of Paducah; three sisters, Margaret Richeson, Louise Bowlds, and Kathryn Bolen, all of Owensboro; two brothers, George Feaster, of Bloomington, Ind., and Carl Montgomery of South Carolina, and 25 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Montgomery, and one sister. His parents were George A. and China Mary O’Bryan Montgomery.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Jason McClure officiating.
Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery with military honors.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
