Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thornton Jr. of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Alecia Nicole Thornton, to Justin Adam Cherry, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Cherry of Cuba.
Miss Thornton is the granddaughter of Joette Calhoun of Benton and the late Tommy Calhoun, and Martha Mills of Bowling Green and the late Roger Thornton Sr. She is a 2005 graduate of Marshall County High School and a 2009 graduate of Murray State University. She is employed by Lake Chem Community Federal Credit Union in Benton.
Mr. Cherry is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mike II of Mayfield, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Novice Cherry. He is a 2003 graduate of Graves County High School and a 2007 graduate of Murray State University. He is employed as a safety engineer with James Marine Inc.
A November wedding is planned.
