Darold and Paula Edwards of Symsonia and Sandra Loe and Steve Sanders of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, CasSandra Dione Edwards Thorn, to Michael Neal Scott, son of JoRena Hall Irvan of Ledbetter and the late Mitchell Lee Scott.

Ms. Thorn is the granddaughter of Gene and Juanita Loe of Paducah, Dorothy Young and Richard Hoefs of Paducah, and the late Willie A. “Bill” and Betty Clapp Edwards. She attended Heath High School and is a student at West Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Mr. Scott is the grandson of the late Jasper and Ruby Christopher Hall, and the late John A. and Wanda Tabor Scott. He is a 1994 graduate of Livingston Central High School in Smithland and is employed by Hopkins Landscaping in Ledbetter.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned.
