FULTON — Rev. Thomas Rose, 88, of Fulton, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, and was a retired minister and had worked for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a graduate of Union University & Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lived in this area most of his life.
He is survived by two sons Philip (Teresa) Rose of Cayce and Timothy Rose of Lake Mary, Fla; nine grandchildren, Shay Rose Lock, Heather Rose, Robby Rose, Amy Rose, Emily Rose Jones, David Rose, Sam Rose, Lauren Rose, Cayce Rose; and nine great-grandchildren, Mattea Lock, Kinsey Lock, Ethan Rose, Colt Rose, Brody Jones, Sawyer Jones, Pressley Rose, Azlyn Rose, and Jackson Ames.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Clydene Burgess Rose whom he married Dec. 29th 1944; one son, David Michael Rose; and one brother; one sister; and his parents, Alvin and Ida Samuel Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dukedom.
Friends may call at the funeral home at noon until the service hour.
