CLINTON — Mr. Thomas Carl “T.C.” Conner, age 82, of Mayfield and formerly of Clinton, Ky., passed away at his home on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 2:10 p.m.
T.C. was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Clinton Primitive Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and co-founder of C&S Construction Company. He was a strong Christian man who lived each day to its fullest. T.C. dearly loved his family. He enjoyed the company of all those in the surrounding communities who were fortunate enough to call him their friend. He was known by many for his kindness, extreme generosity, and most of all, for his undying love for his sweetheart of 17 years, “Miss Dottie.”
He is survived by his wife, Dottie McCain Phillips Conner of Mayfield; son, Seth (Lauren) Conner of Columbia, Ill.; daughter, Jessica Conner of Clinton; two stepdaughters, Paula Morris of Mayfield and Teresia Sanderson of Paducah; two sisters, Lois Prater of Waynesboro, Tenn., and Joyce Conner of South Fulton, Tenn.; one brother, Rick Conner of Florida; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
T.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Maybelle Conner, and one brother, Herb Conner.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Eddie Hicks and the Rev. Danny Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
