Susan C. Bednar Grankauski, 92, of Paducah died Friday, December 28, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was born in Pittock, Pennsylvania, on September 28, 1920, to the late Michael Joseph Bednar and Anna Raab Bednar. She retired from Fesco Plastic Company in Pennsylvania before moving to Paducah, where she became a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Susan loved to play bingo and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Ray) Rickley of North Syracuse, N.Y., and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Grant of Paducah. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Brenden (Paige) Grant, Edward Grant, Jr. Raymond Rickley, Jr., and Marianne (Dan) Lee; one precious great-granddaughter, Cailyn Grant; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Grankauski; a son, Edward L. Grant Sr.; one sister, Anna Taus; two brothers, Adam and Michael Grankauski; and her parents.

A funeral Mass will be held at noon Monday, December 31, 2012, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah where prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
