Shawn and Keri Simmons of Murray announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Simmons, to Sam Luker, son of Marc and Mary Margaret Luker of Benton.

Miss Simmons is the granddaughter of Donald and Charlene West of Mayfield, and Jerry and Judy Hamilton of Mayfield, and the late Kenneth Simmons. She is a 2011 graduate of Murray State University and is employed by the Calloway County Board of Education. She is the great-granddaughter of Hallie Williams of Murray and Ruby West of Mayfield.

Mr. Luker is the grandson of Aline Hail of Gilbertsville and the late George V. Hail Jr., and the late Bernard and Charlotte Luker. He is a 2007 graduate of Murray State University and is employed by the Calloway County Board of Education.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. July 7 at the Murray Woman’s Clubhouse in Murray. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
