MAYFIELD — Graveside services for Shirley Tibbs, 98, of Mayfield will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Highland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Tibbs died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a retired seamstress for Merit Clothing Co.

Mrs. Tibbs is survived by three sons, Johnny Bennett and Tommy Tibbs, both of Mayfield, and Donnie Tibbs of Fairfield, Ill.; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Tibbs; one son, Kenneth “Turkey” Tibbs; three sisters, and one great-grandchild. Her parents were Malcolm and Willie Smith.

Friends may call from noon until the funeral hour Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home.
