Brad and Michelle Shelton of Boaz announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Michelle Shelton, to Cory Robert McAlpin, son of Charlie and Anita McAlpin of Mayfield.

Miss Shelton is the granddaughter of Jackie and Norma Felts of Boaz, and Richard and Carolyn Shelton of Mayfield. She is a 2009 graduate of Graves County High School in Mayfield and attended West Kentucky Community & Technical College. She is employed by Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. McAlpin is the grandson of Jimmy Ray of Puryear, Tenn., Merrilyn Ray of Paris, Tenn., Charles Robert McAlpin of Mayfield and Eboly Tremblay of Oconomowac, Wis. He is a 2008 graduate of Graves County High School and is employed by Rudolph Tire of Murray and Estes Express Lines of Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. April 28 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Mayfield. All friends and relatives are invited.
