MAYFIELD — Sarah Elizabeth Seay and Joshua Keith Burks were united in marriage July 16 at Mayfield First United Methodist Church with Joe Hansen and David Ryan officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Lisa Cope of Mayfield, and soloist, Kathy O’Nan of Mayfield. The Mayfield First United Methodist Handbell Choir provided instrumental music. Paul Stanton of Bloomington, Ill., served as a reader.

The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Mary Seay of Mayfield. The groom is the son of Keith and Rhonda Burks of Murray.

The bride chose Miss Tara Isbell of Murray as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Amy Miller and Miss Mary Elliott, both of Lexington, and Mrs. Kaysin Higgins of Murray. Taylor Grantham, daughter of Jeremy and Bobbi Grantham of Mayfield, served as flower girl. Jack Paul, son of Buzz and Melissa Paul of Murray, served as ringbearer.

The groom chose Clay Carman of Murray as best man. Groomsmen were Jacob Burks, Tyler Boggess and Ryan Houston, all of Murray. Ushers were John Evanko of Louisville and Phil Keifner of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

A garden reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents. The guest register attendant was Jessica Whaley of Memphis, Tenn. Emma Goines and Ava Goines of Metropolis, Ill., and Rachel Miller and Hannah Grace Hall of Memphis, distributed programs.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Mayfield High School in Mayfield and a 2009 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Mayfield Board of Education as a first grade teacher.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Calloway County High School and a 2009 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering technology. He is employed by A&K Construction in Paducah.

The couple reside in Mayfield.
