Whitney Jewell Owen and Samuel Colin LeBlanc were united in marriage on September 10, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Paducah with the Rev. Joey Reed of Camden, Tenn., officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rhonda and Chris Ash of Paducah and the late Gregory Owen of Mayfield.

The groom is the son of Ms. Emily Cunningham and Mr. Andy LeBlanc of Baton Rouge, La.

The bride chose her sister, Mrs. Meagan Guyette, as matron of honor. Attending as bridesmaids were Ms. Alexis (B) Ash of Paducah, Mrs. Sabine Kudmani Stovall of Louisville, Ms. Elizabeth Wisman of New York City, Mrs. Rachael Parker of Boston, and Mrs. Caroline Stone Waldner of Atlanta. Mr. Andy Gray of Ithica, N.Y., served as bridesman. Scripture reader was Mrs. Taylor Howell of Louisville.

Attending the groom were his brother, Mr. Eric LeBlanc; the groom’s father, Mr. Andy LeBlanc; and grandfather in-law, Mr. Rodney Phillips. Ms. Judy Cunningham of Brooklyn, N.Y., served as groomslady.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Paducah Convention Center. Designs and décor reminiscent of Times Square and Central Park were provided by Nic Coovert, with a Cajun style buffet offered by Little Edibles of Paducah. The four-tiered cake with flowers replicating the bridal and attendants’ bouquets was created by cake artist Maria Wilkey of Paducah. Dance music was provided by Dean Hughes and friends from Paducah, Clarksville and Nashville.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Centre College in Danville, Ky., and holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute in Manhattan. She is employed at Staten Island Academy as a Library Media Specialist.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He is employed by Foster Reeve and Associates of Brooklyn, N.Y.
