MAYFIELD — Mrs. Ruth Wiman Tucker, 99, of Mayfield, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at 8:03 a.m. at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayfield where she was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, she was a retired school teacher and member of the retired Teachers’ Association. She worked with the Red Cross for over 50 years and she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by her foster son, Henry (Delores) Jenkins of Waurika, Okla.; three nephews, Charles A. (Beverly) Wiman of Mayfield, Wilbur J. Wiman of Fayetteville, N.C., and Latta W. (Carolyn) Wiman of Mayfield; and five nieces, Norma Wiman Wilson of Mayfield, Shirley Wiman (Bill) Sullivan of Lakeland, Tenn., Barbara Wiman Sullivan of Mayfield, Delores Hall (Bill) Pregliasco of Louisville, and Fran Hall Finch of Ridgeland, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell A. Tucker; her parents, Sheridan A. and Leona Deweese Wiman; three brothers, Charles C. Wiman, Vaughan L. Wiman, and Wilbur W. Wiman; and two sisters, Frances Wiman Burnett and Julia Wiman Hall.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. Wes Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Wiman, Wilbur Wiman, Latta Wiman, John Wilson, Chet Wiman, Kelly Wiman, Mel Sullivan; Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Mayfield.
