Billy and Lynne Rogers of Mayfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Allyson Rogers, to Andrew Dowdy, son of Galen and Ruth Dowdy of Wickliffe.

Miss Rogers is the granddaughter of Mary Jean Sanderson of Mayfield and the late James E. Sanderson, and the late Charlie and Mildred Rogers. She is a 2003 graduate of Northside Christian School in Mayfield and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management. She is employed by Murray State University.

Mr. Dowdy is the grandson of the late Eulies and Maggie Marshall, the late Edward Dowdy, the late Monell Dowdy, and the stepgrandson of Elizabeth Dowdy of Wickliffe. He is a 2000 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and a 2007 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is employed by Murray State University.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Northside Baptist Church in Mayfield. All friends and relatives are invited.
