HAZEL — Robert Graves McDermott, 84, of Hazel died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday at his home.

He was recently baptized and confirmed in the Catholic church. He retired from Tenneco Oil in Nashville, Tenn.

Mr. McDermott is survived by his wife, Patricia Cissell McDermott; two sons, Robert Novis McDermott of Graves County and Scott Allen McDermott of St. Louis; one daughter, Kelly McDermott of Hermitage, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Terry McDermott, Tina Warren, Tammy Forrester and Jason Robert McDermott, all of Mayfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

A committal service will be held at noon Tuesday at the Murray City Cemetery.

Entombment will follow. Father Jason McClure will officiate.
