WICKLIFFE — Richard Lowell “Bud” Blankenship Sr. died at 11:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.

He farmed all of his life in Ballard County. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by five sons, Rick Blankenship, Donnie Blankenship, Lee Blankenship and John Blankenship, all of Barlow, and Hank Blankenship of Paducah; one sister, Betty Waldon of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Carl Wayne Blankenship; two brothers, Tommy Blankenship and Bob Blankenship; and one sister. His parents were Thomas and Mary Allcock Blankenship.

There will be no services.

Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center is handling arrangements.
