METROPOLIS, Ill. — Reuben H. Liesemeyer, 87, of Metropolis died at 5:25 a.m. Friday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was retired from Neuendorf Trucking Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Metropolis American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Lou Choate Liesemeyer; one son, Mike Liesemeyer of Dongola; two stepdaughters, Betty Sue Pritchett of Goreville, and Sandra Kay Smith of Suwanee, Ga.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, Arnold Liesemeyer of Nebraska City, Neb.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Youngblood; one sister, and two brothers. His parents were Louise and Dorra Riegge Liesemeyer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery north of Ozark.
