Raymond “Bud” Parks, 78, of Graves County passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was a retired millwright worker having worked out of the local union for many years. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean crisis and a member of the Folsomdale Masonic Lodge F&AM #283.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Joan Latham Parks; two daughters, Earline (Ronnie) Day of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara Humphrey of Benton, Ky.; two sons, Deron (Shelli) Parks and Steve (Kerri) Parks both of Melber, Ky.; three sisters, Betty Jarvis of Texas, Alvada Korp of Washington D.C., and Barbara Engle of Iowa; two brothers, Donald (Mary Jo) Parks of Alaska and Clifford (Pam) Parks, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Raymond and Mildred Casby Parks; two brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. David Leneave officiating. Burial will follow at the Kansas Cemetery in Melber, Ky.
The Parks family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m.
