Rachel Michelle Scheer and Justin Wayne Riley were united in marriage Aug. 4 at Olivet Baptist Church in Paducah with the Rev. Chris Prescott officiating. Music was provided by Becky Farr of West Paducah, pianist, and Brandon Morehead of Paducah, recorded music.

The bride is the daughter of Charlie Scheer of Paducah and Rebecca Scheer of Paducah.

The groom is the son of Jerry Riley of Paducah and Brad and Renee Kingston of Paducah.

The bride chose her sister, Ms. Kimberly Scheer of Paducah, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Lauren Shaw of Lexington and Mrs. Samantha Vaughn of Kevil. Serving as flower girl was Miss Olivia Garrison, daughter of Jeremy and Shanna Felker of Paducah and Greg and Belinda Garrison of Paducah. Ringbearer was Kade Krimple, son of Russell and Sara Krimple of Paducah.

The groom chose Eric Haney of Paducah as his best man. Groomsmen were Seth McPherson of Arlington and Clayton Vaughn of Kevil. Serving as ushers were Grant Shaw of Paducah and Ryan Riley of Paducah, brother of the groom.

A reception followed. Servers were Karen Murphy of Atlanta and Jane Anderson and Heather Anderson, both of Paducah. Lane Anderson of Paducah attended the guest register.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lone Oak High School, a 2007 graduate of West Kentucky Community & Technical College with an associate degree, and a 2009 magna cum laude graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed by Jackson  Purchase Medical Associates in Paducah.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Heath High School and earned an associate degree in 2007 from West Kentucky Community & Technical College. He is employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement in Paducah.

The couple reside in Benton.
