VIENNA, Ill. — Prudence McKenzie, 95, of Vienna died at 12:38 a.m. Friday at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vienna.
She had also been a member of Johnson County Homemakers Extension and Johnson County Republican Women’s Club.
She and her family owned and operated McKenzie Grocery in Vienna for 15 years.
She is survived by four children, Mary Lou Davis of Salem, Jackie Fisher of Dongola, Jimmy McKenzie of Bremen, Ind., and Bill McKenzie of Vienna; one stepson, George McKenzie Jr. of Walworth, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray McKenzie and George McKenzie; three sisters; a brother; and a foster brother. Her parents were Franklin and Minnie Gurley.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
