METROPOLIS, Ill. — Pearl Farley, 77, of Metropolis, went to be with her Lord with her family by her side Friday, January 4th, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial will follow at Berea Cemetery in Johnson County, Illinois.

She was a member of the HWY 45 Church of Christ and the Red Hat Society, and was very active with her church and family. Her church and her family were her life, and she loved, and was loved, by all.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Farley of Metropolis, of over 55 years; her daughter, Sue Ellen Ragsdale (Michael) of Paducah; son, Stan (Sandy) Farley of Metropolis; nine grandchildren, Sarah Hawkins (Brandon) of Paducah, Chris Ragsdale (Stacey) of Benton, Matthew Ragsdale of Paducah, Samantha Cox (David) of Nashville, Tenn., Stephen Farley, Stacie Farley, Samuel Farley, Colby Ball, and Nathan Ball, all of Metropolis; and four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Cadin Hawkins of Paducah, and Grayson and Jackson Ragsdale of Benton, two sisters, Irene Moorman and Agnes Hopkins of Metropolis; one brother, Clarence Holt of Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Fannie (Stephens) Holt; one daughter, Sharon Ball; one brother, Bill Holt; and two sisters, Corine Cummins and Wave Livesay.

Visitation for Pearl will be held at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home, in Metropolis, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 7th.
