AURORA — Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson of Aurora recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Johnson and the former Betty Rose Wicker were married Oct. 6, 1962, at Reidland United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Stavely. Their attendants were Sue Darnell and Kenneth Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Catherine Morris Wicker of Murray and the late J.P. “Jack” Wicker.

Mr. Johnson retired from the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service. He is the son of the late Homer and Mabel Johnson.

They have three children: Dianna Wilson of Aurora, Neil Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jay Johnson of O’Fallon, Mo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
