POSSUM TROT — Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Darnell of Possum Trot will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Mr. Darnell and the former Patricia Ann Wyatt were married May 8, 1952, by the Rev. John Weir at his home in Symsonia. Their attendants were Myrtle Wyatt Story and Tommy Story.

Mrs. Darnell is a retired kindergarten teacher’s aide at Sharpe Elementary School. She is the daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Wyatt.

Mr. Darnell is a retired employee of Pip Johnson Construction and member of Ironworkers Local No. 782. He is the son of the late Chester and Evelyn Darnell.

They have three children: Terri Darnell Lowery and David Darnell, both of Benton, and Jeff Darnell of Calvert City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
