BROOKPORT, Ill. — Nelma Jean (Tootsie) Dye Jennings, age 80, of Brookport, Ill., passed away Saturday Oct. 6, 2012 at the Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis, Ill.

Nelma is survived by four daughters, Patricia Babb of Brookport, Ill., Nancy Jennings, Phyllis Walker, and Carolyn Dismore all of Paducah, Ky.; three sons, Robert Dye and wife Rhonda, and Michael Jennings and wife Rhonda, both of Brookport, Ill., and Randy Jennings and wife Shawnie of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Joyce Dye of Brookport, Ill.; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anabelle (Smith) Dye, Sr.; husband James Jennings; and one brother, John Dye, Jr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David LeNeave officiating, burial will follow in the Pell Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brookport Funeral Chapel Tuesday Oct. 9, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
