MAYFIELD — Mitchell Lucille Hawkins, 88, of Mayfield died Wednesday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a retired school secretary from Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a volunteer for the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. She was a member of High Point Baptist Church

She is survived by one son, Larry Joe Hawkins of Mayfield; one daughter, Linda Hawkins Jones of Kerrville, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Weldon Hawkins Sr.; one sister; and two brothers; her parents were Roy and Maggie Phillips.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Byrn Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Hatley officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
