Mildred Iness Hays Leath, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012, at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center. Known as “Little Granny,” Iness was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Smith and husband Steve of Reidland; one son, Frank Leath and wife Janice of Lone Oak; four grandchildren, Lesia Bearden Reniker and husband Roger, David Bearden and wife Stephane, Jason Leath, and Josh Leath and wife Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren, Chad Bearden, Kelley Cline, Richard Bearden, Samantha Bearden, Zack Leath and wife April, Jaise Leath, Cameron Leath; and three great-great-grandchildren, Gage McKenney, Pam Bearden and Gunner Leath.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilbur Leath; her parents, Ira Franklin Hays and Bertha Cage Hays; and one sister, Opel Ogg.
Visitation for Mrs. Leath will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with the Rev. Rusty Wirt officiating.
