Mayme Jewell McMurtry Pugh, 92, of Paducah, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at her home, where she was surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.
She was an LPN for over 30 years at Lourdes hospital and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are her four children, two daughters, Pat Lee and husband Gene, of Eddyville and Selah Banks and husband Russell, of Paducah; two sons, Loy Don Pugh and wife Linda, and Charles “Buddy” Pugh and wife Clarinda, all of Paducah; one sister, Ruby Hurley of Calvert City; one brother, Thomas McMurtry of Calvert City; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy “Bill” M. Pugh; one sister, Verda Seibert; one brother, Charles McMurtry; and two great-great-grandsons. Her parents were Charlie and Bessie Rye McMurtry.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rusty Banks, Rev. Roger Whetstone and Rev. Doug Stevens officiating.
Burial will follow in Dees Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
