Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. “Al” McKeown of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and surprise party hosted by their children at the Country Club of Paducah on Dec. 27. A family vacation in Florida is planned at a later date.

Mr. McKeown and the former Mary A. Schneider were married Feb. 23, 1963, by the Rev. Charles De Nardi at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah. Their attendants were Carolyn Denton Mayo and Robert S. Snider.

Mrs. McKeown is the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Schneider.

Mr. McKeown is the son of the late Robert P. and Audrey McKeown. He is the retired owner of McKeown Office Equipment.

They are the parents of Alison McKeown Gerrans of Naperville, Ill., Robert Paul McKeown of Merrick, N.Y., Mary Ellen McKeown of Paducah, Sheila McKeown Habacker of Nashville, Tenn., and Eric John McKeown of Indianapolis. They have eight grandchildren.
