Mary Katherine Williams Cooper, 73, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Paducah, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in Orlando, where she lived for the last eighteen years.
Born on August 21, 1938, she grew up in Paducah, where she lived until her marriage to James Cooper, now deceased. They had two daughters, Mary Cooper Rose and Debra Cooper Zentz, both also deceased.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Frank Penney. Mrs. Cooper was a Registered Nurse after her marriages.
Surviving are her sister, Ruth Williams Wade; one daughter, Ruth Lorine (Robert) Coschignano; one son, Carl Thomas Penney; six grandchildren, Jami A. Cooper, Jalyssa K. Cooper, Rachael A. Coschignano, Antonia M. Coschignano, Natasha N. Grant, and Kristen D. Penney; and nephews, David, Allen and John Wade, as well as other extended family. Her parents were Vivan and Lorine Williams.
Memorial services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Roth Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Interment will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
