Mary E. Tick, 96, passed away at her home Thursday night, Jan. 3, 2013, at 10:04 p.m.

Mary was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on February 15, 1916, to the late Charles Grant Eicher, M.D., and Nancy Tannehill Eicher. She was happily married to the late Harry J. “Jack” Tick for 44 years. A homemaker and mother, Mary was a member of Temple Israel and Temple Israel Sisterhood. She served as chairperson of the Red Cross during the Vietnam War and was also a member of Kalosophic Club and a Duchess of Paducah.

Mary is survived by her three children, Roberta Lipsey of Memphis, Tenn., Delmont Davis Barbor of New York, and Kenneth Eicher Barbor of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Eicher Anderson and Alice Eicher Goode.

Visitation for Mrs. Tick will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening, Jan. 5, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Temple Israel Cemetery in Paducah. Rabbi Ari Ballaban will officiate.
