METROPOLIS, Ill. — Ms. Mary E. Griffey, age 86, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mary is survived by one son, Bob Griffey and wife Ginger of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Kristi Stepter and husband Kevin of Nashville, Tenn., Ricky Griffey and wife Sherrie of Metropolis, Heather Rottmann and husband Darian of Metropolis, Nicholas Griffey and wife Tracy of Metropolis, Adi Williams and husband Albert, and Craiger Griffey and wife Angela, all of Paducah, Ky.; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Seagraves and husband Clarence and Betty Davis, both of Metropolis, and Sue Amos of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Greene and Fannie (Littlemeyer) Stout; her husband of 68 years, Floyd; two sons, Glendall Ray and Gerald Dee Griffey; one brother, Glendall Stout; and two sisters, Verna Bramlett and Frances McCoy.

Friends may call to the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home Friday, February 8, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
