KIRKSEY— Mary Franklin “Frankie” Richie Darnell, 87, of Coldwater died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

She retired from Merit Clothing Company after 40 years of service and was a member of Coldwater Church of Christ.

She is survived by one sister, Sue Melash of Michigan; one brother, Harry Richie of St. Louis; three stepsons, Howard Darnell, Rob Darnell, and Harold Darnell, all of Murray; foster children, Robert Acree of Mayfield, Debbie Warner of Paducah, Dennis Vowell of Colorado, and Chucky Vowell of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cody Tidwell; her second husband, Hess Darnell; one sister; one brother; and three half-sisters. Her parents were Carrie Richie and Erma Cooper Richie.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray with Brad McNutt officiating. Burial will be in Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013,  at the funeral home.
