MAYFIELD — Mr. and Mrs. Marvin R. Byrd of Mayfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Mr. Byrd and the former Martha Lattus were married Sept. 21, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman by the Rev. Carl J. Glahn. Their attendants were David Lattus and Rita Lattus.

Mrs. Byrd is retired from Little Lamb Daycare. She is the daughter of the late John and Mable Lattus.

Mr. Byrd is retired from Mayfield Electric & Water. He is the son of the late Marvin E. and Elizabeth Byrd.

They have three children: Regina Middleton of Baton Rouge, La., Denise Hobbs and Shane Byrd, both of Mayfield; and seven grandchildren.
