Marvin E. Metcalfe, 97, of Paducah died Tuesday at his home.

He was a retired iron worker for Local 835, a member of the Gilbertsville Masonic Lodge, a World War II Army veteran, and of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Roetteis Metcalfe; six brothers; and three sisters. His parents were Sanford Metcalfe and Katie Rixie Metcalfe.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with military rites.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be at 7 p.m.
