VIENNA, Ill. — Marjorie Darlene Mason, 74, of rural Simpson, formerly of Vienna, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
She was a U.S. Navy veteran and a homemaker. She was a member of Church Without Walls in Herrin.
She is survived by six children, Christine Roberson of Ridgely, Tenn., Douglas Mason of Herrin, Cheryl Thompson of Simpson, Denise Treat of Belknap, Donna Jo Colston of Mayfield, Ky., and David Mason of Cairo, Ill.; 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Donna Montgomery; an infant brother, and an infant sister. Her parents were Lawrence and Helen Montgomery.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery with military honors.
