METAMORA, Ill. — Mariana Trovillion Thompson of Metamora, formerly of Peoria, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Metamora.
Mariana attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and graduated from Murray State University in Kentucky. She was a member of the Baptist Student Union. She taught for Peoria Public Schools and later worked for Bradley University and Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Herman Thompson; her children, Michael Thompson of Ames, Iowa, Stephen Thompson of McLean, Va., Martha Hahn of Mundelein, Pat Newsum of Phoenix, and Terry Walker of Caledonia; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one sister, Carolyn Alexander of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were Paul L. Trovillion Sr. and Marian Wymore Trovillion.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Woodland Baptist Church with the Revs. Joel Newton and Jim Donahue officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Prospect Cemetery in Hodgeville. Memorial donations may be given to Woodland Baptist Church.
