BENTON — Mable Wyatt Derington, 84, of Gaither Suites, Paducah, formerly of Benton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7th, 2012 at the home of her daughter Kathy in Monkeys Eyebrow, Ky. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Marshall County.
She and her husband, Junior, attended Senior Citizens Dances in many western Ky. counties. She loved to dance and the dances were the highlights of her senior years.
Mable is survived by her daughters, Katherine Maples and husband Walter of Grand Isle, La. and Monkeys Eyebrow and Linda Tinsley of Calvert City; three grandsons, Scott Harrison of Jackson, Miss., Matthew Harrison and wife Bobbi of Flowood, Miss., and Brandon Wynn of Calvert City; two great-grandsons, Andrew Harrison and Jack Harrison of Flowood Miss.; two stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Wyatt Atherton of Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clark Junior Derington; her parents, Evans and Eunice Crouch Wyatt; twin sister, Myrtle Wyatt; and brothers, Joe Edd Wyatt and Virgil Wyatt.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.
Graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Marshall County Memory Gardens with the Rev. James Keeling officiating. Interment will follow.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Collier Funeral Home.
