BENTON — M.C. Ruggles, 88, of Benton died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton.
He was the retired owner of M.C. Ruggles House Moving Company and a member of Briensburg Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ruggles; one son, Steve Ruggles of Grand Rivers; two daughters, Donna Freeman of Calvert City and Jennifer Ruggles of Westlake, La.; one brother, Rudy Ruggles of Gloucester, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Ruggles and Tony Wahl, and two sisters. His parents were Milo Clinton Ruggles Sr. and the late Dovie (Lowery) Ruggles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with the Revs. C.C. Brasher and Brad Walker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Provine Cemetery in Benton.
Friends may visit between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
