MAYFIELD — Mr. and Mrs. David Owen of Mayfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 5 at Trace Creek Baptist Church in Mayfield. All friends and relatives are invited.

Mr. Owen and the former Lynn Milligan were married Aug. 4, 1962, at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Paducah by the Rev. Guy Pittman. Their attendants were Patricia Burkhart Grainger and Donald Mabry.

Mrs. Owen is employed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Regional Office. She is the daughter of the late Evelyn Spann Milligan Davenport.

Mr. Owen retired from Air Relief and formerly worked at General Tire, Graves County School System, Priority Mold and the P.H. Owen Dairy Farm. He is the son of the late Cyrus and Lura Merritt Owen.

They have two children: Michele Copeland of Mayfield and Brad Owen of Mayfield; and three grandsons.
