KEVIL — Lula (Lou) M. Jones, 76, of Kevil, died at her home Sunday after a short illness.

She was a member of Miner Baptist Church in Miner, Mo., but faithfully attended Newton Creek Baptist Church in Kevil where she was a member of the choir. She was a factory worker in Paducah before retiring and volunteered at His House in La Center in her spare time.

She is survived by two sisters, Linda Cagle of Dexter, Mo., and Barbara Moses of Catron, Mo.; several nieces; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Cloyce Jones; one sister; her parents were David and Neoma Kinsey Faries.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Newton Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. The Church will be open for visitation before funeral time. Burial will follow in Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter, Mo. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Morrow Funeral Chapel of La Center.
