WICKLIFFE— The Kentucky Wildcats have lost one of their biggest fans. Louise G. O’Daniel passed away peacefully at 12:11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn. Louise was in Scottsdale, Arizona, visiting her son and his wife, David and Susan O’Daniel, and her grandson, Ryan O’Daniel.

Louise was a member of Barlow Baptist Church and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. She retired from the Ballard County School system where she had been the secretary, nurse, social worker and all-round office person at Wickliffe Elementary School for many years and had a tremendous impact on those who attended.

Louise was preceded in death by the late Robert O’Daniel, her husband of sixty-three years; and her parents, Louis and Mary Garrett. She is survived by her son, David O’Daniel, his wife, Susan O’Daniel, and her beloved grandson, Ryan O’Daniel, all of whom live in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also survived by two nieces; and a sister, Peggy Sue Griggs.

Funeral services for Louise O’Daniel will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe, Kentucky, officiated by the Rev. Dewayne Chadwick. Burial will follow in Barlow Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe.
