GOLCONDA, Ill. — Lillian T. Pelcha, 89, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Lillian was born July 13, 1923, in Golconda, to Ezra and Myrtle (Flick) Duncan. Mrs. Pelcha was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, making quilts and embroidery work. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, Illinois, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She married Lester Eugene Pelcha, June 15, 1946, and together they shared over 66 years of marriage.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Pelcha; and four children, Michael Pelcha, Patricia Garrison and son-in-law, William C. Garrison, Steven Pelcha, and Stanley Pelcha, all of Golconda, Illinois; three grandsons, Jeffrey Towns, Matthew Towns and Bradley Pelcha; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda, Ill. The Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, Ill. Father Abraham Adejoh will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
