WICKLIFFE — Leon Dowdy, 63, of Wickliffe, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Dowdy was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship, the Dowdy Boys Quartet, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a bricklayer for Dowdy Masonry, working in Kentucky, Illinois, and Missouri.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Joyce Marshall Dowdy; sons, Kenny Dowdy of Brentwood, TN., Kevin Dowdy and wife Christy of Bardwell, and Michael Dowdy of Wickliffe; daughter-in-law, Brandi Dowdy of Wickliffe; and Matthew Dowdy of Wickliffe and fianceé Hannah Lewis of Mayfield; one sister, Cathy Trainer of Wickliffe; three brothers, Paul Dowdy, David Dowdy, and Galen Dowdy, all of Wickliffe, and three grandchildren, Alec, Zach, and Blaine Dowdy.
Mr. Dowdy was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Jean Walker. His parents were John Edward and Monelle Brown Dowdy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Bro. Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
