SYMSONIA — Latha M. Jarvis Smith, 82, of Symsonia died 10 p.m. Thursday at her home.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Adams of Benton and Brenda Reed of Mayfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hamp Smith; two brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Paul Jarvis and Ida Mae Burkhart Jarvis.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Riley Graveyard. The Rev. Ronnie Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow in Riley Graveyard.
