Angela Latella of Astoria, N.Y., and James Henry Casey of Far Rockaway, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gina Marie Latella, to Dustin Carr Thompson, son of Jeff and Larissa Thompson of Benton.

Miss Latella is the granddaughter of Luigina Carmela Latella of Astoria, N.Y., and the late Nicholas Latella, and the late Angelina and Robert James Casey. She is a student at West Kentucky Community & Technical College, where she is employed.

Mr. Thompson is the grandson of Blake and Peggy York of Benton, and Johnny and Jane Thompson of Benton. He is a 2004 graduate of Marshall County High School in Benton and a 2007 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tenn. He is employed by Mike Smith Toyota in Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. May 5 at the historic Cherokee Park near Kenlake State Resort in Aurora. All friends and relatives are invited.
