Barbara and Joe Sledd of Kevil announce the engagement of their daughter, Leandra Nichole LaPoint, to Kevin Christopher Barrow, son of Bobby and Joby Barrow of La Center.

Miss LaPoint is also the daughter of the late Gregory LaPoint. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn LaPoint of Tacoma, Wash., and the late Robert LaPoint, and the late Percival and Barbara Nicholls. She is a 2006 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School in Barlow, and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Mr. Barrow is the grandson of Don and Connie Dupoyster of Wickliffe, and Janice Barrow of Kevil, and the late Robert Barrow. He is a 2006 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School in Barlow and earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications systems management in 2011 from Murray State University, where he is employed.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. May 12 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited.
