Steve and Caroline Korte of Metropolis, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacqueline Elizabeth Korte, to Andrew Michael McShane, son of John and Diane McShane of Lincoln, Ill.

Miss Korte is the granddaughter of Robert and Jean Kridle of Biloxi, Miss., Walter and Wanda Korte of Metropolis, Ill., and Max and Jackie Korte of Lowell, Ind. She is a 2003 graduate of Massac County High School in Metropolis and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2008 from the University of Mississippi at Oxford, where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She is employed by U.S. Bank as a commercial banking client representative in the healthcare division in Nashville, Tenn.

Mr. McShane is the grandson of the late Lawrence and Helen McTaggart, and the late Robert and Phyllis McShane. He is a 2004 graduate of Marian High School in Mishawaka, Ind., a 2008 graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and earned a master’s of business administration degree in information technology management from St. Louis University in 2011. He is employed by Cerner Corp. as a senior analyst/consultant.

A July wedding is planned.
