KEVIL — Mr. and Mrs. James Burnley of Kevil will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8 at Kevil Baptist Church. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Burnley and the former Kitty Mae Adkins were married Dec. 22, 1961, in Golconda, Ill. Their attendants were Larry Dowdy and Brenda Bohanon.

Mrs. Burnley is a retired beautician. She is the daughter of the late Birdie and Layton Adkins.

Mr. Burnley is retired from Central Service. He is the son of the late Paul and Ada Burnley.

They have two children: Amy Sanders of La Center and Melissa Ballard of Wickliffe; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
