Patrick and Shannon Kidd of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Jean Kidd, to Andrew Thomas Mefford, son of David and Donna Carroll of Hopkinsville and the late James Thomas Mefford.

Miss Kidd is the granddaughter of Donna Wallace Woodall of Paducah, the late William Thomas Wallace Sr., the late Wilfred Thomas Woodall, the late Thelma and James Kidd, and the late Carol Rose. She is the great-granddaughter of Christine Wallace of Paducah. She is a 2011 graduate of the Clemens Fine Arts Center and is pursuing a nursing degree from West Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Mr. Mefford is the grandson of Eddie and Janie Lilly of Hopkinsville. He is a 2010 graduate of Christian County High School in Hopkinsville and is pursuing a business degree from West Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 1 p.m. April 14 at New Life Apostolic Tabernacle Church of Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception following at the Salvation Army Youth Center.
